Our beliefs are centered on the Bible only. We have a Church constitution which provides the details of our beliefs and how we run and organise ourselves.
Our core beleifs are:
- The God described in the Bible is the one and only.
- Jesus is the Son of God and is part of the Trinity which is completed by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was born of Mary who was virgin at the time.
- Jesus died on the Cross and was raised to life 3 days later. Through this death and resurrection we have access to Salvation and forgiveness of our sins.
- Jesus is well and truly alive and will return one day. That day is called the Day of Judgement. Those who believe in him will enter His Kingdom, those who don't will face eternal punishment
The message of the Gospel is one of Love, Forgiveness and Reunification between God the Creator and us His Creation. We do not beleive in a religion in the usual sense of the word. This is simply because we cannot live a life which would meet God's standards. So God sent his son Jesus to take all our sins away and give us a unique opportunity to start a "new life" by believing in Jesus' sacrifice for us
God has revealed himself and his will for us in the Bible. This unique and essential book is our only true reference and basis of faith. We beleive that its entire contect is God inspired. If you want to find out what Christianity and the message of the Gospel is all about then you will find it in the Bible. If you have never looked inside a Bible before, then we would recommend you look at the Gospels first. These decribe the life of Jesus (Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John).
