The Friday Nigth Youth Group

Who's it for?

Anyone between the ages of 10 and 15.

When is it?

Friday evenings during term time: 7:30-9:00

What do we do?

For the first 30 minutes we generally tend to have games in the back hall, table tennis, board games and a craft or two. Then into the main hall we have a brief talk or competition, followed by drinks and biscuits. For the remaining time, usually about 45 minutes both rooms are open. Large sport games and competitions are played in the main hall - the current favourite being hockey.

Charge?

Youth Club Outings There is currently no charge for attending youth club. However occasionally we have youth club outings, including swimming and bowling where the children pay to go. However as we go as a youth club this cost is kept low and there is no charge for transportation. Usually the children pay no more than £3.

Anything else?

Boys and Girls Socials As well as normal youth clubs we hold girl and boy socials for the children who attend the youth club, normally during half term school breaks. These socials are carried out on separate days or at separate venues so that the activities carried out can be planned around the children and their interests, e.g. a pizza, dance, hair and makeup night was our last girly social just before Christmas.
